From time to time we do 140 character reviews. This kind of review started on Twitter where characters are limited. The word limit really makes you think about what you write in the review. These are the latest three:
Goodnight Papa by Simon Rowe – Award winning thriller/suspense story collection with strong sense of place woven throughout. Exotic, vivid & perfectly timed.
None But The Dead by Lin Anderson – A great sense of history in this crime thriller set on the isle of Sanday, Orkney. Local traditions, forensics and great characters make this a satisfying read.
The Book of Souls by James Oswald – DI Maclean in Edinburgh based Scottish murder mystery case. Solid characterisation with gripping ending. A spooky read.
Every now and then we have to read something other than Nordic crime fiction. None of these are Nordic but all enjoyable reads. I particularly enjoyed the format of the short story collection Goodnight Papa.
